Why this site exists
The automatic marker color, team override, and /waypoint command are related but easy to confuse. This site puts the entire job in one place: find the fallback color, compare a group, choose a clearer alternative, and copy a valid command.
The tool is designed for ordinary players, server administrators, map authors, and command creators. It is not a game client, mod, plugin, or server scanner.
About the maintainer
Paul maintains Locator Bar Color as an independent Java Edition utility project. He is responsible for the color calculator, command validation rules, technical documentation, accessibility improvements, corrections, and production releases.
Material behavior claims are checked against official Minecraft release information and reproducible Java Edition client behavior. Automated test vectors cover UUID normalization, Java hash semantics, rendered RGB output, equivalent input formats, and command edge cases; substantive corrections are recorded in the changelog.
Ownership and independence
Paul maintains locatorbarcolor.com and is accountable for its technical implementation and published guidance. Accuracy, privacy, legal, and accessibility reports can be sent through the public contact page.
Locator Bar Color is unofficial and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is referenced only to describe compatibility with its public game feature.
Editorial promise
Version claims are checked against official release notes and reproducible client behavior. Material corrections appear in the changelog; dates are not refreshed merely to make a page look new.
